Skill Levels
All Elite Medical Solutions operations staff wear the title Paramedic on their uniform. Staff skill levels are located either under the wording Paramedic or on their shirt epaulets or collars.
First Responder - Is trained in advanced cardio pulmonary resuscitation; advanced first aid training; patient handling and lifting techniques; driver training; use of spinal boards and body immobilisation techniques; and Automatic External Defibrillation. They must have a Cert II in Emergency Medical Service First Response HLT21107 or equivalent. They are authorized to use the drugs listed below
Paramedic General Dutied (GD) - Is trained in advanced emergency care using protocols, procedures, pharmacologies. Has a superior knowledge of anatomy and physiology. They must have a Cert IV In Health Care (Ambulance) HLT41107 or equivalent. They are authorized to use the drugs listed below
Paramedic Advanced Life Support (ALS) - Is trained in advanced emergency care using protocols, procedures, pharmacologies. Has excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Has the ability to conduct staff mentoring and supervision. They must have at least 2 years full time use of skills as an EMT and completed advanced care modules of the Diploma. They are authorized to use the drugs listed below
Paramedic Intensive Care (IC) - Is trained to Paramedical level of emergency care using protocols, procedures, pharmacologies. Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology. They must have at least 3 years full time use of skills as an EMT and have completed a Diploma Health Science Ambulance HLT50407 or equivalent as well as modules from the Advanced Diploma. Has the ability to conduct staff mentoring and supervision and are authorized to use the drugs listed below
